Remote Traffic Microwave Sensors (RTMS)
These radar-based RTMS provide a low-cost method of traffic detection and data collection.  Each unit can monitor up to eight lanes of traffic, and can be mounted on existing poles.  With a variety of networking options, they can perform a number of roadway management tasks with relative ease.

Remote Traffic Counting Package (RTCP)
The RTCP time stamps and stores RTMS traffic data from multi-lane roads.  Central PC Software is available for downloading stored data via modem and for report generation.

Wide Area Traffic Even Reporting (WATER)
Using this RTMS system, a traffic operation center can acquire per-lane data from multiple RTMS stations.  The information is transmitted to a local cluster hub and concentrated onto a single communication channel which eliminated excessive wiring and network complexity.

Node Event Warning System (NEWS)
The Node Event Warning System, processes real-time traffic data from up to 8 RTMS stations and is capable of detecting the occurrence of up to 16 pre-programmed events.  The information can be transmitted directly to a variable message sign or relayed to a designated traffic operation center.

Simple Presence In-Lane Detection Event Reporting (SPIDER)
SPIDER works similarly to standard signal detection loops, but without the roadway loops, which allows for easy maintenance.  To avoid the use of excess wire, the information is transmitted wirelessly through the system’s Spread Spectrum Radio, to the Intersectional Controller Cabinet.  Each system accommodates up to 32 detection zones from up to 8 RTMS units.

FTMS is a versatile, quick-deployment, low-cost wide-area traffic data collection and analysis system, performing real-time automatic incident detection, based on the RTMS.

RTMS Interface Card
These interface cards are designed to make a simple conversion from Loop Detectors to the RTMS system and require no software changes.  This allows for gradual replacement as part of routine maintenance.  The RTMS multi-zone radar detector provides output through contact closures and an RS-232 serial connection.
